We headed to Port Antonio with the objective of taking the raft trip downhill the Rio Grande. Our hotel was selected at random but Man did we get it right. The hotel site is outstanding between the ocean and the Rio Grande River. From the main balcony, the view is outstanding of the sun setting over the Blue Mountains as rafts are lazily floating downhill the river. On the other side, the ocean surf hitting the beaches is clearly visible. We had a three bedroom villa for six. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The villa had two balconies overlooking the ocean with a great view. Sharon, the owner, and Andrea provide great personal service. Our only regret was not having thought to order our evening meal from Sharon which we surely will do on our next trip.
If you’re driving, the hotel is about 5 kilometers from the Town of Port Antonio coming from Ocho Rios on your right-hand side as you come up a steep hill just shortly after crossing the Rio Grande
Bridge…it is great not to have to cross the Town center right after a long trip.
There is much to see and do in Port Antonio and we sure will know where to stay on our next trip extending our trip to two or three nights.
